April – June 2024:  Scheduled site grading and road improvements were delayed due to the ground remaining frozen through the second week of June, staff shortages, and an inoperable dump truck. Surveying and earthwork for the new landfill began in June. The surveyor was delayed one week arriving on Saint Paul Island due to weather and flight cancelations. Earthwork involved stripping of topsoil and developing the landfill cells, equipment pad and access road. Equipment procured in the previous quarter was shipped in late May to early June to Bowhead Transport in Seattle, in preparation for shipment to Saint Paul Island. The following were procured during this quarter: water trailer, grapple, aluminum flatbed, laminated building drawings, and aluminum signs.
