On March 12, 2026, the City received three amended proposals before the deadline in response to Amendment 3 to RFP 25-03.  The amended RFP requested breakdown of components of the project into a Base Bid and two Alternates.  The lowest Base Bid was received from Alaska Geothermal, LLC.  On March 13, 2026, the City issued a Notice of Intent to Award a contract to Alaska Geothermal, LLC.  This Notice is for the Base Bid only. Alternates 1 and 2 may be added through amendment contingent upon the City securing additional funding. No protests were received during the 10-day protest period. The City is in the process of negotiating and executing the contract with Alaska Geothermal for the project.
