Designing Salt Lagoon and Community Pond Flood Mitigation
Summary: This project will complete the final design, environmental review, and permitting for flood mitigation infrastructure near the Salt Lagoon and Community Pond on Saint Paul Island. Project will address increasing coastal flooding, storm surge risks, and erosion through the development of new roadway designs integrating solutions to protect critical utility infrastructure and homes while enhancing wetland habitats critical for migrating birds.
