Saint Paul Island Supplemental Safe Transportation Development Plan

Summary:

This project will develop a Saint Paul Island Supplemental Safe Transportation Development Plan to enhance the Pribilof Islands Transportation Safety Action Plan which was adopted in April 2025 (for more information on that Action Plan, visit https://projects.stpaulak.com/ss4a-action-plan/).

Supplemental planning will include road safety audits, a road lighting plan, and an assessment of critical transportation gaps in post-crash care. The issues addressed as part of a supplemental safe transportation development plan will help in developing transportation safety corridors and address the history of limited transportation and medical infrastructure concerns that have been a part of the history of the rural native community.
