The EPA Grants Officer made a site visit in August and was pleased with the work performed. He had no issues. The site work including grading has been finished. Contractors came on September 10th to install the gate and fencing, the bollards, and signs. Hydroseeding was applied on the exposed ground on the exterior of the fence lines. The City contracted with Zender Environmental to produce an Operation and Maintenance Manual for the landfill. They are also producing a plan for the partial closure of the Ataqan Landfill. 3 Tiers Alaska will perform the final survey and prepare As-Builts when the site is finished.
