Airport Feeder Update Sept. 29, 2026
The Airport Distribution Feeder replacement is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026. Crews will return to the island in October to restart the construction that had been put on hold while the City worked to obtain the last of the funding from USDA RUS.
DOWL and City Kick-Off Work on Flood Mitigation Project
The City and the selected firm, DOWL, kicked off the project in early September. DOWL is preparing for a site visit in October to visit the locations, collect data and hold a public involvement and outreach sessions.
Bulk Fuel Facility Upgrade Project Moves Toward October Completion

The EPA Grants Officer made a site visit in August and was pleased with the work performed. He had no issues. The site work including grading has been finished. Wastewater Lift Station Project Update 9/29/26
The Contractor has been onsite in September working to complete the buildings. The door has been installed at the Ellerman and Sandy Lane Lift Stations. Conduit, heaters, and lights have been installed at the Sandy Lane Lift Station. Electrical equipment has been installed at Ellerman.
